				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Off the strength of our award-winning presales marketing<a href="http://www.thesolidstate.com.au/the-solid-state-wins-at-the-2012-golden-trailer-awards/">,</a> we were excited to be approached by Red Dog director Kriv Stenders and producer Leesa Kahn to create a presales sizzle reel for the in-development feature Synchronicity.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Solid State took an impossible brief to make something out of nothing and performed a miracle. I&#8217;d never worked on a pre sales sizzle reel before &#8211; it&#8217;s really a genre onto itself and needs a thorough understanding of the pitch process. The Solid State team knew how to do this and created an incredibly effective tool to get our project off the ground.&#8221; Kriv Stenders, Director of Red Dog</p>
<p>We can’t wait for this musical about synchronised swimming featuring the music of Kylie Minogue to hit the big screen.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We’ve upgraded our facilities, we’ve put the glasses on &#8211; The Solid State is now officially available in 3D.</p>
<p>Storm Surfers 3D is the second trailer we’ve produced in three dimensions (after <a title="Bait 3D" href="http://thesolidstate.com.au/portfolio/bait-3d/">Bait 3D)</a>. The 3D documentary to be released by Madman tells the epic adventure of two best friends who search for Australia’s biggest waves, featuring state of the art cinematography captured with special custom-made cameras.</p>
<p>Storm Surfers is the first trailer to utilise our new fully integrated 3D workflow. We now deal with 3D footage at every stage of the process &#8211; ingesting, the edit, motion graphics and final delivery.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[The Solid State has won a prestigious Golden Trailer Award for its pre-sales trailer for ‘Babylon’ at the Annual Golden]]></description>
				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Solid State has won a prestigious Golden Trailer Award for its pre-sales trailer for ‘Babylon’ at the Annual Golden Trailer Awards held in Los Angeles. This is the second win in this category, previously winning for their pre-sales trailer for ‘Divine Shadows’.</p>
<p>The award confirms the expertise the agency provides in pre-sales film marketing – an area becoming increasingly vital in the crowded market place.</p>
<p>&#8220;Good pre-sales materials play an extremely important role in getting film projects off the ground. They cut through the piles of scripts potential distributors and film financiers are inundated with. They also demonstrate a commitment and vision on behalf of the film makers&#8221; says company co-director Danny Lachevre.</p>
<p>In the case of ‘Divine Shadows’ [director Husein Alicajic and producer Daria Jovicic from Latitude Media] the pre-sales trailer helped to raise finance as well as interest in key casting roles.</p>
<p>The pre-sales trailer for ‘Babylon’ continues the fertile working relationship with production company JaggiShute &#8211; creators of ‘Circle of Lies’. Earlier this year The Solid State worked closely with producers Steve Jaggi and Liz Shute to deliver the cross-platform marketing campaign for this teen drama.</p>
<p>&#8220;It was great working again with guys from JaggiShute on Babylon&#8221; says company director Walter Bienz. &#8220;Together with director Steven Sewell we helped to create a vision for their upcoming feature that we are really proud of. It was great to get the award but getting the project off the ground will be the real win&#8221; continues Bienz.</p>
<p>“The Solid State&#8217;s work on our first film Circle of Lies has truly connected with its teen audience so we were eager to collaborate with them again. Working with such a high- calibre team on Babylon &#8211; from the writing of Stephen Sewell to the film&#8217;s Executive Producer, Bruce Beresford &#8211; it made perfect sense to engage The Solid State in the early stages of pre-production to bring Babylon&#8217;s daring aesthetic to the market place,&#8221; says producing partner Liz Shute.</p>
<p>This year’s win brings The Solid State’s total to 18 Golden Trailer Awards &#8211; 4 Gold and 14 Silver.</p>
